A Palestinian refugee pitches a tent outside the Norwegian Parliament and vows to stay until the war in Gaza ends.
In the wake of 7 October 2023, as Israel launches its assault on Gaza, taxi driver and political refugee Abu Jenin sets up a tent outside the Norwegian Parliament in Oslo. His mission is unwavering: the tent must remain standing until the war is over. Driven by a deep faith in Norwegian democracy, he transforms the small tent into a gathering place for grief, solidarity and community among Palestinian-Norwegians in crisis. As the filmmaker becomes a familiar presence in the tent, the camera gradually develops into a space for conversation and reflection. Abu Jenin and others begin to address the camera directly, sharing their thoughts, experiences and growing despair. But as the war intensifies and politicians turn their backs, Parliament sends in the police to forcibly remove the protest, putting Abu Jenin’s faith in the system to a brutal test.
